R.S. Jagriti Niketan Senior Secondary School, Kathua was established in 1969 by Shri P.N. Raina, a visionary educationist and philanthropist. It is the first private high school and the first private higher secondary school of kathua Distt. It was founded with the noble mission of providing quality education to the children of common people at affordable fee.
Upgraded to Senior Secondary level in 1990, the school has consistently progressed towards academic excellence. The students of this school have bagged FIRST POSITION in Science stream in the state FIVE TIMES besides thousands of students passing with distinction and achieving ranks in the merit list. Over the decades, it has groomed thousands of young minds who have gone on to become outstanding doctors, engineers, officers, and distinguished professionals.
